The CaptivCast Solution - Technical Basics
|
Everything the technical department of your company will want to know before purchasing a system. Contact our Technical Support Specialists for more information regarding system specifications, operating system requirements, online remote operations, configuration schematic diagrams and basic installation detail, etc.
CaptivCast™ System ComponentsCaptivCast™ CPU – precision-engineered computer which hosts CaptivCast™ Software and ultimately controls the screen. Each display must be connected to a CaptivCast™ CPU. CaptivCast™ Multimedia Content Management Software – each CPU runs a licensed version of the intuitive CaptivCast™ Software Plasma or LCD Screens – eye-catching monitors that display CaptivCast™ content ContentPac – Customized programming that displays on the screens. ContentPacs are cutting-edge, dynamic content, tailor made to the client’s specific needs. Content CompatibilityThe following content file types are compatible with the CaptivCast™ System: jpg, bmp, gif, png, and swf (flash), as well as avi, mpg (1 and 2) and mov video formats. Audio formats: wav, mp3. Streaming video asx / asf formats are also supported. Audio System Solutions - Because each display environment varies dramatically, you’ll want to consider whether or not the use of sound is relevant as a part of broadcasting. For example, in some facilities where quiet is required, the use of audio wouldn’t be considered beneficial, but in others it’s a necessity. Consider this, as well as how broadly you need audio to be focused (directional sound solutions), to what size audience, etc. CaptivCast Server / Player Management - The CaptivCast™ Server is installed as a Windows Service. This means that the Server is automatically started upon system reboot and stopped during system shutdowns. All third party hardware must be installed prior to installation of the CaptivCast™CPU. The standard CaptivCast™ offering provides the CPU and necessary software, however, the cabling, plasma/LCD mounting, encasement design and installation for video walls, etc. must be provided by 3 rd parties. |
